Join us for Sierra Club and Root Beer this Friday with Carlos Bustos, Water Conservation Program manager for the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority.
With population growth, climate change and economic development increasing water demand, conservation is a key component in water planning. The Water Authority recently adopted the “Water 2120: Securing Our Water Future” plan. Water 2120 addresses the supply needs for the Water Authority’s service area through 2120, taking into account climate change and creating an aquifer management level to preserve groundwater resources for future generations.
Bustos will discuss Water 2120 and take our questions at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4 at the Albuquerque Peace and Justice Center.
Please join us Friday for root beer and snacks (including rootbeer floats!), good discussion and good people.
Where: Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice, 202 Harvard Drive SE
