Sierra Club & Root Beer goes virtual!
6:30-8 p.m. on Friday, July 31
The Rio Grande Silvery Minnow is a beautiful little guy who was once abundant in the Rio Grande. Join us to hear Thomas Archdeacon, lead field biologist for this fish for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Thomas will explain the basic biology, what the silvery minnows need to achieve a healthy population and how this relates to how the river is being (or not being) managed. We all love our Rio Grande – and man-made modifications over the past century have had consequences!
Also, we’ll catch you up on what the Sierra Club is working on, ideas for you to get involved safely during the pandemic and a chance for us all to collectively check in!
