One of our community efforts is to highlight the works of local artists in our First Week Arts series at our Albuquerque office. Join us or stop by the office gallery. You will also be supporting the chapter with your purchases.
Collateral Damage: Saving the Elements (Of Beauty)
Heat. Drought. Fire. Flood. Future. Past. Desolation. The landscape, the water, trees and people, all in peril. The very air.
Thus begins a conversation among the artists of ArtStreet, a community studio of Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless. Twelve artists – currently or formerly homeless – offer their observations and visual responses, inviting you into the conversation as well. Because as we look at global environmental damage occurring today, we are all at risk of homelessness. The opening reception is October 5, 2-4 pm, and the work will hang through November.
Please join us On Saturday 10/5 at the Sierra Club office (2215 Lead Ave SE). Call Heather Kline with questions: 505-577-2798.
