These outings are on easy to moderate trails, in volcanic rocky areas. Good trails to explore on even terrains with ups and downs. We will see many petroglyphs, flowers and animals that live in the areas. These are very good experiences to share as a family. Don’t forget to bring: water, snacks, a hat, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, lots of energy and $ 2.00 for parking per day.
Saturday October 27, 9 to 11 a.m. Petroglyphs at Boca Negra Canyon Trail (off Unser Blvd., one fourth mile north of Montaño Rd. NW). Easy walk in volcanic rocky areas. We will see petroglyphs, flowers and animals that live in the areas.
Saturday November 10, 10 to 12 noon, Petroglyphs at Rinconada Canyon Trail. Meet at Trail-head parking lot (intersection of Unser Blvd. NW at St. Joseph Ave). Easy to moderate but in volcanic rocky areas.
Saturday December 1, 10 to 12 noon, Petroglyphs at Piedras Marcadas Canyon Trail: off Golf Course Rd. at Jill Patricia Street, NW. Easy to moderate in volcanic rocky areas.
