John Buchser is the water issues chair for the Chapter, and immediate past chapter chair. He retired in 2016 as computer system architect for the NM Office of the State Engineer. John initially got involved in the Club in the early 1980’s working for better public lands protections.
He is currently particularly interested in supporting endorsed political candidates, staying abreast of current developments in water (like funding the strategic water reserve and pursuing a state water plan that actually PLANS), and working on preventing all the nation’s used nuclear fuel cores being dumped in New Mexico without adequate protections.
