Grant County, NM has been paying Wildlife Services to kill native wildlife such as coyotes, often by cruel and unacceptable methods. Tell them you don’t want your tax dollars spent that way.

Copper Flat Mine hearings in September
For the past eight years, a coalition of individuals and organizations has been resisting the attempt of New Mexico Copper Corporation to reopen a defunct, marginal, open-pit copper mine near Hillsboro. Water is the biggest issue – the Copper Flat Mine wants to use as much water as would support a city of 50,000 people. The New Mexico Environment Department has scheduled hearings the week of Sept. 24-28 in Truth or Consequences.
